The powerful ministry of the Seven Sisters Apostolate will begin its inaugural year at Prince of Peace starting with a special blessing on September 8th at the 8:00 A.M. Mass.
The Seven Sisters Apostolate is a women's only ministry that prays a holy hour every day for a priest or bishop that they have been assigned. Women can sign up and are then divided into groups of seven on a first come first serve basis. These seven women are then assigned a priest to pray for. The seven they divide up the days of the week and choose when they will be able to complete their holy hour for the priest. One holy hour is prayed every day for their priest and the seven women only have to choose one day out of the week.
The Seven Sisters Apostolate is a year-long commitment running from June-June, however, this year is starting a little bit behind so it will be from September to June.
The Anchoress for this inaugural year is Cheryl Childers, who will guide this new ministry and help it get up and running. The Anchoress is the Apostolates title for the individual leader of the ministry at a parish.
